Student Application
The Newburyport Education Foundation (NEF) is seeking a member of Newburyport High School to join its
Board of Directors. This student must be a rising junior. In addition to having a vote
on NEF business, this is also an amazing opportunity for community service hours and college
applications/resumes. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to have a meaningful impact on your own
school. Responsibilities include:
- 2-year committment
- Attend monthly NEF Board Meetings, typically the 3rd Thursday of the month, at 7:00 PM in the NHS library
- Be willing to share your perspective at meetings and feel comfortable expressing opinions with board members that include school administrators, teachers, parents, community members, and business leaders
- Help with recruitment of student volunteers when needed
